third
annual
Summer
Solstice
Wine Tasting
event will
take place
this year on
June 26th
beginning at
6:30 at the
Silvermine
Golf Club on Seir Hill
Rd. in
Silvermine,
Norwalk. We are
ordering
another
starry night
on the
outdoor
patio by
candlelight
and will be
enjoying a
feast of
buffet foods
adopted from
our
neighbors in
South
America.
Here's a
sampling:
pinxtos of
beef,
chicken,
pork; seared
ahi tuna,
sesame
chicken,
vegetable
spring
rolls, tapas
spread,
regional
cheeses and
vegetable
crudite,
pulled pork
arepas,
ceviche en
tostada,
coconut
crunchy
shrimp...
We
will be
taking you
through the
wine regions
of Chile,
Argentina,
New Zealand,
Australia
and more,
sampling an
excellent
assortment
of malbecs,
cabernets,
torrentes,
carmeniere,
terazzas,
pinot noir,
shiraz,
sauvignon
blancs and
chardonnay....in
an
interactive
format lead
by
sommeliers
who look
forward to
sharing
their
intimate
knowledge of
these great
vineyards
with you.
If you
would like
to gather
your friends
and come as
a group,
just let us
know the
number of
people in
your party
and we will
reserve a
table for
you! There
will also be
a cash bar
for those of
you who
would like
to enjoy
your
favorite
drink..
Most
importantly,
this
fundraiser
will benefit
the most
needy in our
Silvermine
Community.
Last summer,
we grossed
almost
$10,000, the
profits
getting our
"SCA Helping
Hands"
initiative
off to an
outstanding
start. We
have many
people on a
waiting list
this year
who are
counting on
you to
support this
wonderful
event.
